Caseg Fraith is near the top of the pass between the Llugwy and the Ogwen Valleys in Snowdonia, beneath Tryfan, 3.5 miles north-west of Capel Curig on the A5. It is a large hut with electric cooking, electric lighting, foam mattresses, running water, flush toilets and a shower. Ideally situated for walking on the Glyderau, Carneddau and Moel Siabod and for climbing on Tryfan, in Cwm Idwal and on the Carneddau and (with transport) Llanberis, Cloggy and Tremadog are all within reach.
Sleeping - 3 alpine style dormitories. Built-in bunks with mattresses only. Bunk space available for parties of up to 40 people.
Cooking - All electric - 16 hotplates, 2 ovens, 2 grills, a microwave. Two large larder fridges, small freezer. All pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, tea towels, washing up liquid etc. provided.
Eating - Large kitchen/dining room
Sanitation - 3 flush toilets (one for wheelchair users). Toilet rolls are provided.
Washing - 2 washbasins and 2 showers (all H&C). Immersion heater for water heating.
Heating - Electric central heating. Coal fire in snug sitting room.
Telephone - For incoming calls and outgoing freephone and emergency numbers only
Access by road with limited parking for 8 vehicles in car park.
