Welcome to ULGMC
ULGMC was set up in 1950 in order to provide a forum where ex-members of the University of London Mountaineering Club (ULMC) and the University of London could continue to profit from the benefits of a formal organisation. It aimed to create opportunities for its members to meet and climb and maintained links with ULMC in order to promote mountaineering within the University of London. Today its membership is wider by far than the original restriction to former students or staff of the University of London and the constituent colleges. Do come and join us! Benefit from the huts, the meets programme and social events.
The ULGMC access to two club huts; one in North Wales, the other in the Peak District. As a Club member you enjoy automatic rights to use these huts.
Regular meets are held throughout the year; some are based at the two huts; others are camping meets, whilst others use other clubs’ facilities.
ULGMC recognises that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.
